You’ll still have that perceived level of balance and rich surround environment without having to throttle the volume control way up. As you turn down the volume, Dynamic EQ intelligently changes the surround-channel and bass levels. This mainly has to do with your sensitivity to these channels in relation to the rest of the elements. When you go below that level on playback, definition in the surround channels and bass response can appear to go away.

I also liked the fact that the new software lets you save your results and reload them if you lose your settings or if you want to try out some new gear. I also noticed a subtle improvement in bass response in my back row of seating compared with the standard calibration. Spatially, the Pro calibration added a little more depth and resolution with music and a bit more resolve in the lower end with movie soundtracks. After I used the standard calibration for about a week, I performed the Pro calibration.
